OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Developed physical database designs, performed database options analysis and made recommendations, and conducted database design reviews.
• Leading, coordinating and participating in key process improvements as they relate to the database environment.
• Work with application architects, system engineers, business analysts and others to understand business requirements and design the database accordingly.
• Develop database and data migration scripts; provided step-by-step migration documentation to be utilized during deployments.
• Performance Tuning
• Develop programs to extract, transform and load (ETL) clients' into databases.
• Create, maintain and conduct troubleshooting for development and production databases
• Experiment with new technologies to optimize cost/performance

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6-10 years of hands-on database administration experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in implementing and supporting large and performant database systems.
• 5+ years on PostgreSQL and NoSql (Cassandra - Nice to Have)
• Experience in integrating data from multiple sources, data flow design, building ETL pipelines for data warehouse or big data
• Familiar with Data Modelling, migration and correction concepts
• Proficiency coding in UNIX shell and SQL, and at least one procedural language such as Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, C++
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
