Roles and Responsibilities

• The candidate shall be responsible for developing Android applications that establish connectivity between cloud and control units on vehicle.
• He/she should have an appreciation for the communication through Bluetooth or peer-to-peer WIFI to insert/ fetch information packets through a Vehicle communication interface (VCI) device into the vehicle network. This shall require inter-disciplinary collaboration with VCI development, clod infrastructure, systems, and styling teams to understand and implement the use cases.
• He person would be responsible for creation of user acceptance test cases that may be used by an external entity for field deployment.
• He/she should therefore be capable of anticipation edge cases and potential problem areas, study system flow, data usage, and come up with optimal solution in available timeframe.

• Familiarity with version control tools- Git, SVN
• Knowledge of Kotlin
• Good to have exposure to SQL

Desired Candidate Profile

• At least 18 months of experience in Android with strong design principles.
• Proficient in Java.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, XLM and JSON
• Experience with third party libraries and APIs.
• Experience with Gradle build system and maintaining different flavors.
• Familiarity with offline storage, threading, integrating with backend services.
• Strong OOP and data structures background.
• Knack for writing clean, readable code.
• Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently in interdisciplinary teams.
