Job Summary

Job Description: This profile seeks to hire a highly competent Signal processing Algorithm Developer Engineer to work on Radar being developed at Skyroot. This will be an individual contributor role, where the selected candidate will be responsible for pre -and post-signal processing and algorithm development.

Roles and Responsibilities: Will typically include (but not restricted to),

  • Responsible for development of various Radar Signal Processing Algorithms such as target detection, tracking, and doppler Algorithms, CFAR, MTI
  • Responsible for development of Pre- and Post-processing Algorithms such as waveform generation, filter design, Image visualization, etc
  • Independently take different modelling challenges like clutter, target, and noise modelling om MATLAB Simulink
  • Responsible for development of DSP processor along with software team
  • Responsible for flow chart plan and documents.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors / Masters in Electronics Engineering or equivalent/ radar signal processing/signal processing (ECE / EEE / EIE / Mechatronics)
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Radar / Defense / Automotive domains.
  • Strong in Radar fundamentals
  • In-Depth Knowledge of pulse compression techniques, complex signal generation, Target, Interference and channel modelling, Detection, range, and Doppler estimation, Clutter modelling, CFAR, RCS, coherent and Noncoherent pulse Integration
  • Strong fundamentals on signal processing techniques such as discrete Fourier transforms, Fourier analysis, filters, types of signals, Noise modelling, channel modelling
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink modeling (signal processing/Radar toolbox/Phased array toolbox/Image processing toolbox)
  • Adept at using laboratory instruments like Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Function Generator, etc.
  • Excellent command of C or C++ programming would be a plus
  • Experience of working with FPGA is a plus
  • Communication & articulation skills both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • A good Understanding of SAR (synthetic aperture radar) is a plus
  • Failure mode thinking (i.e., thinking of all possible scenarios as to how a system could possibly fail)
  • Excellent debugging skills and willingness to jump into details.
