Job Summary

Job Description: Structural analysis of launch vehicle mechanical systems with strong emphasis on Composites and Hyper-elastic materials.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Strong FEA experience including non-linear, buckling, modal, composites, thermal & thermo-structural analysis
  • Exposure to joints design & analysis
  • Experience with material characterization and establishing design allowable for metals, composites, rubbers etc
  • Ability to interpret Engineering and Manufacturing drawings including complex assemblies
  • Exposure to Aerospace design & quality standards
  • Hands-on exposure to complete product development life cycle from design/analysis to actual realization & assembly preferred
  • Strong engineering judgment and capability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Capability to physically understand the problems and offer quick solutions on a system level
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up environment
  • Interaction with multiple teams to ensure the design meets all requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace.
  • 3-5 years of experience in aerospace structural analysis and/or the behavior of non-linear materials.
  • Strong understanding of fundamentals of Mechanics of Materials.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis and tools such as Ansys and Hyperworks.
  • Prepare design reports, test plans and post test data analysis reports for the structures analyzed
  • Thrive to deliver on time.
