About the role As a SDET Manager, you would lead a high performance engineering team to develop the next generation financial platform & application in payments. What You will do Lead a high performance engineering team to develop the next generation financial platform & application in payments. Take end to end ownership of a Quality Engineering team, including development of test frameworks and automation. Manage a team of QA and SDETs that are responsible for building and maintaining tools for testing of our product. Collaborate with the product and business team to understand the requirements, and build product execution and delivery roadmap Champion best design, development and code quality practices in the engineering team Hire a quality team to deliver a world class product. Setup and improve processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team Reduce time to market, while gradually building a robust and reliable quality gate for all our products. Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team Document technical issues and solutions as well as prepare file defect reports and report test progress Author, Review and Execute test cases for the User stories. Qualifications What you will need 6+ years of overall experience and 3+ Years of experience in leading a team in a fast-growing company. Ability to define responsibilities and track Key Results. Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and Test design Hands-on experience with functional, Integration, Performance and non-functional testing, test planning, test designing for complex distributed systems Excellent communication and documentation skills with strong attention to detail Hands-on experience of mobile app automation tools like Appium, Robotium, WebdriverIO etc. Ability to think strategically and implement with excellence Hands-on in a programming language like Javascript and/or Python. A growth mindset and passion about building things from the ground up, and most importantly, you should be fun to work with Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, test management tools like, testlink, zephyr etc. Additional Information Life at slice Life so good, you d think we re kidding: Competitive salaries.
