Job Overview: Junior Software Tester

We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. In this role, you will help ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with developers, senior testers, and product managers to identify, document, and resolve software issues. Responsibilities:

• Execute test cases (manual and automated) under the guidance of senior QA team members.
• Review and analyze system specifications to understand testing requirements.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, reporting any inconsistencies, bugs, or malfunctions to the development team.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features, testing requirements, and resolve issues.
• Participate in test planning and coordination to help improve testing quality and efficiency.
• Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Contribute to test automation scripts and frameworks (if applicable).
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and bug tracking systems.
• Basic knowledge of any programming or scripting language is a plus (e.g., Python, Java).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A desire to learn and grow in the software testing field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant internship experience or coursework in software testing or quality assurance.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
