Technician - Vffs Machine (umbergaon) Job in Society Tea

1. Overall responsibility of all packaging machines in the Packaging section of the Production area/FFS Section. The role incumbent has to be responsible jointly for both-the packaging as well as the production functions here.

2. Since we are a Tea Blenders and packers, the major emphasis of the Production function is on Packaging and hence, the packaging machinery and its related activities. Focus on all these parameters and processes and assist, own and resolve issues pertaining to these areas.

3. Capture packing and blending machine and process efficiency losses and carry corrective measures to reduce the same.

4. Long term (qtly/ annual) capacity planning as per forecast.

5. To evaluate & maintain the quality of packaging material by means of suitable corrective action in addition to effective communication with vendor.

6. Design and follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all packing machines at all times. Follow a check list for all equipment.

7. Minimize RM & PM (Packaging Material) loss.

8. In order to aid production efficiency, identify manpower productivity loss and take initiatives to reduce the same.

9. Ensure 100% compliance to all HSE systems and procedures by shop-floor employees.

10. Ensure shop-floor discipline by carrying out periodic performance review for all reportees.

11. Conduct skill gap analysis and suggest training interventions to HR for shop-floor team.

12. Prepare and present section-wise KPIs and mechanism to collect the required data to monitor those KPIs.

13. Periodic analysis of KPIs/data for achieving Operational Excellence.

Apply and implement scientific problem solving tools towards creating an operational excellence oriented work culture.

1.The incumbent should have at least 8 yrs. of experience in Production dept. with a mid-cap company preferably food division

(Experience in Tea Industry would be an added advantage)

2.ESSENTIAL: ITI or D.E. (Mech) with relevant experience

3. DESIRABLE: Work on Pakona, Aakash, Star Pac etc...and Domino or Video jet printer

The candidate should be able to trouble shoot issues related to Penta Seal Machines + Quadra Gusset + Yamoto Weighers to ensure there are no wrinkles during seal packing of our tea powder pouches.

Technical:

• Ready to relocate to Sanjan (Umbergaon)
• Ability to work with various packaging machine operation and maintenance
• Working knowledge of high speed printing machines with TTO or inkjet type
• Each technician will be responsible to handle atleast 7 packaging / packing machines.
• He must be available 24 hours in case of breakdown.
