Job Summary

Primary Purpose:

A Talent Acquisition Specialist's primary responsibility is to identify, assess, and ultimately hire the most qualified individuals for available positions within an organization. To fulfill the role's purpose, you must participate in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, sourcing and screening individuals, conducting interviews, and making and negotiating offers.


You will also engage in online and offline networking with possible applicants in order to boost our employer brand, shorten our time-to-hire, and recruit the most qualified individuals. The ideal candidate must be at ease working in a fluid, fast-paced, rapidly expanding environment; adaptable to the changing needs of recruiting managers; and professional and composed under pressure.

  • Actively promote and act within the Softobiz Values and Values in Action (UGRs).
  • Collaborate with relevant parts of the business to deliver positive recruitment outcomes.
  • Ensure the achievement of the objectives outlined in your PDP.
  • Actively participate in your PDP by taking ownership of agreed actions and attending all 1:1 discussions with your manager.
  • Promote open communication about your role and the progress of your objectives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Design & implementation of the overall recruiting strategy
  • Consult managers to gather inputs on manpower requirements and job objectives
  • Write and post job descriptions on career websites, and other relevant boards
  • Source candidates through databases, job portals, social media, and networking
  • Evaluate & screen resumes and cover letters
  • Use recruiting tools for objecting assessments to assess candidate skills
  • Involvement in Planning & implementation of recruitment marketing and employer branding strategy to attract high-quality applicants
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  • Contact new employees and prepare onboarding/orientation sessions
  • Build talent networks to find qualified active and passive candidates
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to talent acquisition and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and payroll, to ensure new hires are onboarded smoothly and all necessary paperwork and systems access is completed.
  • Participate in job fairs, campus recruitment events, and other recruiting initiatives to build the company's brand and attract top talent

Experience:

  • A graduate degree: Master preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
  • Ability to conduct different types of interviews i.e. structured, competency-based & behavioral interviews
  • Familiarity or work experience with HR databases, applicant tracking systems & candidate management systems
  • Ability to use psychometric tests and other assessment tools
  • Ability to prioritize and complete hiring within deadlines

Skills:

  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS): Knowledge of how to use an ATS to manage and track recruitment from sourcing to hiring.
  • Social Media Recruitment: Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to source and engage with candidates.
  • Job Board Posting: Experience with job board posting and resume management to attract and source candidates.
  • Data Management: Ability to maintain accurate candidate information and recruitment data records using spreadsheets or other databases.
  • Boolean Search: Knowledge of Boolean search techniques to effectively search for and identify qualified candidates.
  • Video Conferencing Tools: Familiarity with video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams to conduct virtual interviews and engage with candidates.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Ability to generate reports and analyze data related to the recruitment process to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technical SkillsMS Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint Primarily)
  • Internet browsing skills
  • Application Tracking System(ATS): Hand-on expertise with any popular ATS
