Release Manager Job in Soroco

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Plan and maintain the release schedule for product deployments at various client sites Publish release plans in consultation with Product and Customer success teams Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews Produce deployment run books and implementation plans. Assist Product team in release note management Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies and notification lists Work with Engineering to resolve merge conflicts, deployment errors and meet code coverage criteria Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks Manage and mitigate risks that affect release scope, schedule and quality Design and track relevant metrics for releases and publish periodic reports Prioritize, delegate and foster a high-performance team Work towards making the release process more efficient The Candidate An ideal Release Manager should have a strong understanding of product deployments with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment. Key Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Engineering/ Computer Science or related fields 4-5 years of experience as a Release manager in the product deployment space 4-6 years of experience as a release engineer or support engineer or developer Experience in structuring & managing complex releases Must be proficient in troubleshooting deployment and upgrade issues and guide the team in resolving bottlenecks Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams, effective leadership and analytical skills Good exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Agile, etc. Bonus Skills: Exposure to PKI, SMTP, Web servers Nginx/Apache, Python web-frameworks, Python scripting Exposure to configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc
