IPU Software Stack Lead
Job Description:
Client's Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) is seeking a Software Lead to join its High-Level Design (HLD) team. The team is developing products to enable customers to target FPGA-based Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) for infrastructure acceleration workloads, including Open vSwitch (OvS) and NVM Express (NVMe). As a Software Lead, you will:
Work with marketing, planning, and business units to define and scope the software stacks and tools necessary to enable customer success.
Architect software solutions that integrate the FPGA with both new and existing infrastructure acceleration APIs, runtimes, and interfaces.
Define integration points with other teams defining internal development tools or frameworks.
Lead the team in developing production-quality implementations that can be deployed at scale.
You will be part of an engineering team responsible for delivering results over many areas of the software lifecycle: design, developing, debugging, testing and optimizing customer engagement and product support for the Client Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU) Software stack.
The ideal candidate should be motivated, self-driven, able to set priorities and get results across boundaries. Will also be required to provide architectural and technical guidance and ensure that sound engineering decisions are followed. Interacts with stakeholders both internal and external.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
9-10 years of software development or architecture experience, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Expert in network acceleration or storage acceleration
Experience with OVS, NVMe, RDMA, DPDK, SPDK
Experience with software development lifecycle and requirements management
Knowledge of FPGA design and implementation, and FPGA platform software.
Proactive self-motivated and quick learner
Good team spirit and ability to deliver to schedule
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic environment
Ability to track and prioritize tasks.
Experience working with cross-geo teams
Direct customer interaction for requirements and issue resolution.
