Job Description:
Looking a senior system software engineer with the low- level experience and programming skills to help us develop fast and robust embedded systems. Position is in fast growing dynamic Embedded team, a "company within a company" with a start-up attitude, a great team environment, and intense, game-changing market focus. The embedded team is penetrating new markets with SoCs and GPUs, bringing graphics, multimedia, and compute to a new level.
Work includes device driver development, hardware configuration and performance tuning, writing/modifying boot loaders, test suites and applications, and tuning/augmenting OS kernels.
The candidate should be a strong system programmer, with a working knowledge of the internals of complex operating systems using multicore CPUs and virtual memory and ARM Architecture. An ideal candidate has experience writing device drivers for a variety of embedded devices, and working with embedded OS kernels; adding features, fixing bugs, or tuning kernels and other system software for size and speed.
Candidate should be familiar with multiprocessing programming, comfortable with task scheduling, locks, mutexes, semaphores, etc. Experience with embedded OSes, such as QNX, Embedded Linux, etc. is a big plus. Extensive working knowledge of hardware and experience working with embedded hardware platforms also a plus.
