Shopify & WordPress Developer Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify & WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, with a focus on creating and customizing Shopify e-commerce stores and WordPress websites. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality, engaging, and responsive web solutions. Responsibilities: Develop and customize Shopify e-commerce stores, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with client requirements. Create and modify custom Shopify themes to match client branding and optimize user experience. Build and integrate Shopify apps and extensions to enhance store functionality, such as payment gateways, shipping options, and more. Collaborate with designers to translate design concepts into functional Shopify themes and WordPress templates. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to achieve unique website designs and desired functionalities. Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites and stores work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes. Optimize website and store performance, focusing on speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience. Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend the capabilities of Shopify and WordPress websites. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Shopify and WordPress-related issues. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web development and e-commerce. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, requirements, and timelines. Maintain clear and organized documentation of code, processes, and project developments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Proven experience as a Shopify and WordPress developer, with a portfolio showcasing previous work. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Strong understanding of Shopify's Liquid templating language and WordPress's PHP structure. Experience with Shopify theme development, including creating custom themes and modifying existing ones. Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development. Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, including user experience optimization and conversion rate optimization. Experience with version control systems, such as Git. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug code effectively. Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with SEO best practices for websites and e-commerce stores is a plus. Familiarity with other e-commerce platforms and CMSs beyond Shopify and WordPress is a plus.
