Job Summary
  • Preparing financial papers for vendors, perform account receivable duties and assist with preparing the hospitals budget.
  • An accounts officer manages the financial bookkeeping of Hospital
  • Apply basic accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including routine costing and variance analysis.
  • Processes invoices, records payments, and track expenses of the organization.
  • An accounts officer supervises other staff members who assist with the bookkeeping duties.
  • Each expense must be cross-checked with the corresponding invoice, to ensure that the billing is accurate.
  • Sends bills to customers; processes refunds;
  • Interacts with collection agencies on past-due accounts; and, works to resolve billing disputes.
  • write monthly reports to determine whether the financial information generated are accurate
  • To create and monitor internal auditing procedures and to solve problem when accounting numbers are not in sync.
  • Management of petty cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
  • Reconciliation of direct debits and finance accounts.
  • Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Working with purchase ledgers and spreadsheets.
  • Planning and budget control.
  • Assisting qualified Accountants with audits.
  • Preparation of financial reports.
  • Analyses accounts to trace discrepancies or errors.
  • Assist in preparation of annual cost report.

Qualification :
  • Bachelor Or Master Degree OR other equal degree in Accounting.
  • Three to five years accounting experience (in Hospital preferably)
