Job Summary

CORPORATE COUNSEL - JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Drafting and negotiating customer contracts, Saas agreements and in support of fast-paced sales transactions.
  • Standardization of documentation and agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Contract Lifecycle management.
  • Legal research on a wide variety of topics including data protection laws, privacy and security.
  • Ensure timely review of vendor contracts, customer contractsand other legal instruments to support business divisions.
  • Structure and draft a variety of agreements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to update and implement policies and procedures.
  • Review of internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company s full legal rights.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively offer advice on possible legal issues.
  • Legal compliance in general including that of applicable data protection laws
  • Litigation management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of legal experience in the corporate field
  • Should have good legal aptitude, good grasp over the basic contract terminologies and structure, and good working knowledge of contracts .
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • A curious and enthusiastic learner.
  • Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
