General Summary:
A Software Engineer for User Interface is responsible for the development of user interfaces and components for new applications and lifecycle development support for existing applications. In this role, successful candidates will possess knowledge and experience with best practices for building web applications using modern JavaScript and CSS techniques. The engineer must be capable of delivering high quality and tested solutions based on supplied requirements within defined timelines. This role is also required to adhere to all company software development procedures and processes while fulfilling assigned tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create reusable application user interface components and widgets as defined within detailed requirements from product development and solution architects.
Create application specific modules using reusable components within the company user interface framework.
Document implementation details of developed reusable components and user interfaces for other software engineers within the organization.
Review design documents, code and test results to ensure accuracy and completeness and adherence to the requirements.
Participate in code reviews, standups, and other team meetings as applicable.
Develop automated unit tests for all developed software modules for use in a CI/CD environment.

Required Experience:
Bachelors degree in STEM field, preferably computer science or related
3+ Years of Experience in JavaScript and CSS
Exposure to Modern UI Frameworks Such as Vue, Angular, and React
Interfacing with REST and WebSocket APIs
Experience Developing Automated Unit Tests
Excellent Written English Communication Skills
Proven Ability to Deliver High Quality Software On-Time
Project Time Reporting and Progress Tracking
Version Control Software Including Subversion and Git
Strong Attention to Detail of Visualization Components
Independent Work Habits
