Job Description and Requirements
Designs, develops, and implements cost-effective methods of testing andtroubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic prog rams, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipme nt required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
Requires strong verbal, written, and inter-personal skills. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals and engineering s ketches, and utilize complicated drawings and specifications, advanced m athematics, and a variety of precision measuring instruments is preferre d. Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience. Possess es a full understanding of specialization area plus working knowledge of multiple related areas. Independently resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways on a regular basis. Customarily exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Perfor ms in project leadership role. Contributes to complex aspects of a proj ect. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is independen t and collaborative in nature. Provides regular updates to manager on p roject status. Represents the organization on business unit and/or comp any-wide projects. Guides more junior peers with aspects of their job. Frequently networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
