Job Description
As a Java developer, you will develop the software for our customer facing websites, web APIs, back- office services and support web optimization for the cloud-based development. You will be developing against a product backlog of web team and support all essential CI/CD activities to deploy and release the software. You will be part of the web development in Java/ J2EE technologies including web APIs and other service & framework enhancements, Integrating with supplier systems, maintaining the CI processes, managing web hosting infrastructure and enabling the design team to Achieve their goals. As an experienced developer, you will take an active part in analyzing each backlog item and the definition of tasks. You will also peer review code ensuring it meets against coding standards and make suggestions for architectural improvements. You will be working closely with multi-disciplinary team of experts across Architecture, Engineering, DevOps and Agile Delivery providing services across the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium and The NetherlandsRequirements
Foundation- Experience in Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe)
- Experience on
a. Core Java, Classes and objects
b. Java Collections Framework
c. Unit Testing (including stubs/mocking)
d. Logging & Debugging - Team player
- Work with development teams and product owners to ideate software solutions
- Use industry best practices of development processes & tools, adopt and improve them
- Java developer with 8+ years of experience with relevant 3 4 years of relevant experience of working on Java version 11 and relevant frameworks/concepts such as Spring Boot, RESTful Services
- Experience on
a. JDBC Spring Framework - MVC, Spring Boot, DAO support, JDBC, ORM, Marshalling XML, JMS, REST b. RDBMS Any of Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server c. DevOps using Git, IntelliJ, Maven, Docker, GitLab, CI/CD, Kubernetes d. Puppet, Chef or other cloud-based provisioning tools
- Prior Hybris & React experience
- Programming expertise in using Python
- Worked on Large-scale, multiyear project
- Experience on
a. Designing microservice b. AWS Lambda
c. Performance, security requirements and the approaches to ensure they are addressed in Solution Designs
- Proactive and assertive communication and a team player with a result-oriented and positive attitude
- Innovative attitude to adapt & drive positive change in technology transformation
- Ensure growth in agility by showing continuous improvement - quality over quantity
- Experience of independently working in multi-location, multi-vendor/team projects
- Ambitious with a proven history of exceeding goals and achieving high client satisfaction ratings
- Active member of relevant industry communities, interest groups and meetups
- Understanding of social and ethical implications of software engineering
