Job Summary
Job Description-Roles and Responsibilities
Lead major NPI, cost out & RCA programs for the gearbox lubrication system from concept throughimplementation
Provide expertise in lubricant applications, including oils, additives, contamination, life prognostics,and basic applied tribology
Drive oil selection and participate in global commodity strategy
Lead supplier development initiatives
Drive cost-out within the gearbox lubrication subsystem from short-term execution to long-termtechnology strategy
Lead gearbox lubrication subsystem risk reduction, validation and fleet leader efforts. Utilizecollected testing and field data to drive improved system and component design practices and capabilities.
Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Clearly communicate project status, issues, risks, benefits, recommendations, etc to leadership & business stakeholders
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasksconsistent with engineering policies and procedures
Drive simplification and standardization best practices into engineering analyses, validation, andprogram execution
Coordinate between Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Services, & Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university
At least 5 years of experience in an engineering position
Expertise in the product development cycle
Expertise in lubrication system and lubrication system cooling components, including drawings, qualification and validation. Expertise in lubricant applications, including oils, additives, contamination and basic appliedtribology
Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner across global
organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics
Experience with problem solving tools and techniques
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience in Lean practices including Kaizen, Standard Work, etc
Ability to work in a matrix team environment
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt quality certification or equivalent
Job Description

1. Must have lubrication system design experience that includes designing or specifying pumps, filters, coolers and hoses / piping.
2. Must have experience in an industry that has similar volume
3. Must have experience with PPAP, DFMEA, validation, new product development, RCA
Industry Experience Required : Wind, Automotive, Heavy Truck, Transportation, Agriculture Machinery, Mining
