Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: 1 Report and Dashboard Development: Develop engaging, interactive reports and dashboards primarily using Power BI. Leverage Excel for data preparation and formatting, ensuring seamless integration with Power BI. Adapt report delivery schedules to accommodate overlapping hours with the American team. Design reports for clear data communication. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze data using advanced functions to uncover insights, trends, and anomalies. Present findings and insights to stakeholders. Collaborate with teams across time zones to understand their data analysis needs. Data Modeling and DAX Calculations: Create and maintain data models within Power BI with consideration for time-sensitive data. Write DAX calculations for complex measures and metrics. Ensure data models can adapt to real-time data updates. Show guidance to business owners in case new data models need to be created. Automation and Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate reporting and data extraction processes. Optimize reports and dashboards for performance and ease of use. Utilize Excel macros and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for automation. Data Gathering and Preparation: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external data feeds. Use Excel for data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency. Create and maintain automated data pipelines, considering time zone differences. Data Security and Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and data security. Implement role-based access control and data governance practices within Power BI for remote data access Documentation and Training: Document data sources, ETL processes, and report specifications. Provide training and support to remote and on-site American colleagues, utilizing Excel for data-related training materials. Create clear documentation for asynchronous communication Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the American company. Communicate updates, findings, and insights using digital tools and virtual meetings. Adapt communication methods to ensure alignment despite time zone differences. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Proven experience in data analysis and reporting using Power BI and Excel (5 years minimum). Strong knowledge of data modeling, DAX, and Power BI development (3 years minimum). Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation (optional). Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective remote communication and collaboration skills. Understanding data security and governance best practices. Preferred Qualifications: Power BI and Excel certifications. Experience with other data visualization tools and reporting platforms. Familiarity with remote work and asynchronous communication tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms for data storage and processing. Experience in working with international teams and time zone differences.
