Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Specialist Armoured Vehicles to join our engineering team in Pune. The role involves the end-to-end design, integration, and development of armoured vehicle systems, with a focus on CAD-based design, vehicle packaging, and aggregate integration.


Job Purpose:

To lead the design and development of armoured vehicles, ensuring functional integration of mechanical systems and effective packaging using advanced CAD tools.


Key Responsibilities:

Design & Integration:

  • Perform vehicle integration and packaging of key aggregates (powertrain, suspension, electronics, etc.) using Creo or CATIA software.
  • Design components including armoured hulls, braking systems, pneumatics, and other critical mechanical subsystems.
  • Ensure optimal space utilization and system compatibility within the vehicle structure.

Execution & Implementation:

  • Translate technical requirements into detailed CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with performance, safety, and protection standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Functional Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle packaging principles, specifically for armoured vehicle platforms
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems integration in defense or specialized vehicle domains

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CREO and/or CATIA for 3D modeling and design documentation
  • Familiarity with defense standards and automotive design protocols

Soft Skills / Behavioral Competencies:

  • Effective stakeholder management across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams
  • Solid project management abilities to drive timelines and coordinate technical deliverables

Qualification :
B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
