About the Role:

As a Manager - Agency Business Associates, you will report directly to the Branch Manager and be a pivotal force in strengthening our distribution network within your defined branch area. This role is about more than just sales; it's about identifying future leaders, fostering their growth, and ensuring strict adherence to all company and regulatory compliance standards. You'll be instrumental in recruiting, training, and motivating a high-performing team to achieve ambitious business objectives.

What You'll Do:

Team Development & Leadership:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Identify and recruit high-potential individuals to join as Business Associates and Advisors, guiding them through the onboarding process.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to Business Associates and Advisors, enhancing their product knowledge, sales skills, and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular reviews to ensure your team achieves their sales targets and KPIs.
  • Motivation & Engagement: Implement strategies to motivate, inspire, and retain a productive and engaged team of Business Associates and Advisors.

Sales & Business Growth:

  • Target Achievement: Take ownership of achieving challenging business targets for your defined branch, focusing on driving sales through your team of Business Associates and Advisors.
  • Market Penetration: Develop and execute strategies to expand our reach within the assigned geographic area, identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Joint Field Work: Conduct joint field work and sales calls with Business Associates and Advisors to provide on-the-job training and support in closing sales.
  • Business Planning: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies for the agency channel.

Compliance & Operations:

  • Process Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all internal sales processes, company policies, and regulatory guidelines within your team.
  • Ethical Practices: Promote and enforce ethical selling practices and maintain the highest standards of integrity.
  • Operational Liaison: Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders such as Agency Sales Training, Branch Operations, and Distribution Operations to ensure seamless support for your team.
  • Reporting: Monitor sales activities, analyze performance data, and provide accurate and timely reports to the Branch Manager.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 6 to 9 years of progressive experience in sales management, particularly within the agency channel in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Education: A Graduate degree is essential. An MBA or Post-Graduate qualification is highly desired.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and team performance tracking.
  • Behavioral Skills:
    • Strong Leadership & Supervision: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
    • Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clear, persuasive communication with the ability to build strong relationships with Business Associates, Advisors, and internal stakeholders.
