Python Automation Test Engineer

Location: Pune

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Python Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Python programming and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing automation frameworks, interfacing with hardware protocols, and implementing REST APIs. Knowledge of vision-based automation and infotainment testing will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using core Python, emphasizing object-oriented design principles
  • Create Python libraries to interface with various hardware protocols such as CAN, USB, Serial port, and Ethernet
  • Implement and integrate REST APIs for data handling and communication
  • Build vision-based automation tools, including libraries for processing text, images, and UI elements from reference images (preferred)
  • Develop or utilize VR libraries and implement text/speech translation functionalities (advantageous)
  • Perform automation testing of software modules with a focus on reliability and efficiency
  • Support infotainment system testing by designing and executing relevant test automation
  • Design and implement best practices and standards for test automation frameworks to ensure scalability and maintainability

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 4 years of experience in Python programming with a focus on automation
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts
  • Proven experience developing Python libraries for hardware interfacing and automation
  • Familiarity with hardware communication protocols: CAN, USB, Serial, Ethernet
  • Experience in working with REST APIs in Python
  • Hands-on knowledge of automation testing methodologies
  • Understanding of infotainment testing processes
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bonus: Experience with vision-based automation frameworks, VR libraries, and speech/text translation
