Position Summary

The Intern works with the City Development team to help conduct prospective research for fundraising, develop corporate partnerships and assist the teams efforts in maximizing awareness about Teach For India across online and print media. The Intern will also play a critical role in building knowledge and research databases for various government bodies/schemes which can be leveraged for our movement.

Team Overview

The City Operations Pune team works towards furthering Teach For Indias short-term theory of change in Pune and the surrounding regions by getting committed individuals to dedicate 2 years to help us achieve our vision of One Day All Children will Attain an Excellent Education. The team also works towards creating committed and connected Alumni to further Teach For Indias mission of building a movement of leaders to eliminate educational inequity.The team works with various stakeholders in the city of Pune like our Alumni, Government, corporate, foundations, NGOs to drive our vision.

Responsibilities

Funding support:

  • Leading research projects related to various spheres of fundraising
  • Developing corporate and regional partnerships
  • Providing support to fundraising events
Reporting:
  • Updating sales-force and creating reports using the tools on sales-force
Research:
  • Research on prospects and power maps for fundraising
  • Research on NGOs working in the same sector
  • Research on the government and city landscape
Communications:
  • Documentation and videography of Teach For India classrooms
  • Conceptualize and execute digital campaigns and manage social media channels for the Pune chapter
