Job Summary

Job Overview:
  • Needs to be able and willing to be hands on AND overarching strategy planning (pragmatic planning)

  • Cloud Native Solutions
    •
  • Re-architecting a major monolithic Java application to be a micro-service based, cloud-native Java/Spring app
    •
  • Modernization of Java applications, re-factoring the code
    •
  • Move from Lift and Shift and utilize Cloud Native Architecture
    •
  • Trying to move standard frameworks like Spring
    •
  • Refactoring legacy systems
    •

    Primary Responsibilities:
  • Application Cloud Architect (2)
    •
  • Needs to be able and willing to be hands on AND overarching strategy planning (pragmatic planning)
    •
  • Cloud Native Solutions
    •
  • Modernization of Java applications, re-factoring the code
    •
  • Move from Lift and Shift and take more advantage of Cloud Native Architecture
    •
  • Will be on numerous parts of AWS
    •
  • Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud would be beneficial
    •
  • Trying to move standard frameworks like Spring, Break apart the monolith
    •
  • Someone that has dealt with Legacy systems before
    •
  • Refactoring legacy systems
    •
  • Someone that can balance everything
    •
  • AWS EKS, RDS, Elastic Cache, NoSQL and would help figuring out which ones they would be leveraging
    •

    Qualification:
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud Architecture
    •
  • SME/Proficient with AWS - Will be on numerous parts of AWS
    •
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud a MUST HAVE
    •
  • Experience with AWS EKS, RDS, Elastic Cache, NoSQL and being comfortable determining which technologies should be leveraged.
    •
  • Attitude is everything - need to bring ideas to the table while working collaboratively with team
    •
