Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Manager to oversee and manage the supply chain for our engineering services company, focusing on the US and EU territories. The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for the US and EU territories to meet the company s goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, reliability, and quality standards.
Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements
Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.
Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize the supply chain.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sourcing activities.
- Address and resolve any supply chain issues or disruptions promptly.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability.
- Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or emergencies.
Performance Reporting:
- Track and report key performance metrics related to sourcing activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and delivery timelines.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing activities and achievements
Desirable
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 9 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management, preferably in the engineering services industry.
- Global supply chain logistics exposure will be plus.
- Strong knowledge of the US and EU supply chain markets and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
