Skills

• Extensive experience in MySQL Server Installation, Configuration and upgrading, Performance Tuning, Query Optimisation and Supported backend SQL and Databases PHP, MYSQL applications on Linux
• Experience in database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
• Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / Mercurial / SVN
• Worked on all phases of the database development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing, implementation, and support.
• Expertise in planning and implementing MySQL Server security, database permissions, Backup/Recovery, Client/Server Connectivity, and running Database Consistency Checks.
• Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.
• Experience in Planning, scheduling, and taking MySQL backups and recovery.
• Knowledge of how to deploy changes to environments manually and via automated tools
• Expert in back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
• Knowledge of new versions of the database management system (DBMS)
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention.
• Experience in Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
