Job Role -Lead Accountant Job Type: Full-time - Onsite Location: Ahmedabad
Reporting to : Manager
Job Summary: As a Lead Accountant at Datastub, you will play a vital role in overseeing foreign accounting operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate should possess experience in accounting and demonstrate team management skills.
What you’ll be doing:
Review the work of Sr. Accountants and Associate Accountants on daily basis.
Prepare & execute for month-end processes including prompt resolution of any queries.
Set up Company, Chart of accounts, Vendor or Customer accounts and other related accounting set ups.
Review and file sales tax returns in compliance with regulations.
Managing the team of Sr. Accountants and Associate Accountants
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Conduct training for existing team members and new employees.
Effective communication skills.
Help the manager to prepare financial reports.
Ensure SOPS, Workpapers and proper documentation of all the processes.
Assist the Manager in year-end audits and finalization.
Assist the Manager in budget preparation and forecasting.
Prepare cash flow statements to monitor liquidity.
Support the Manager in the setup and implementation of new client accounts.
What you’ll bring:
5 to 7 years of Experience in accounting
Recent experience of 2+ years in US accounting
Profound in team management with team management experience of at least 3-4 people
Knowledge of US GAAP or CPA certification is good to have
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent decision-making & logical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Experience working with QuickBooks
Experience working with Odoo, Netsuite, or Sage Intacct is good to have
