We're seeking a meticulous and skilled Software Test Engineer to be a vital part of ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software products. Reporting to the QA Manager or Engineering Lead, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to design and implement thorough test plans and develop robust automated test cases that align with our agile development cycles.
In this crucial role, you will perform comprehensive testing across various application layers, including functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and performance testing on our web, mobile, and back-end applications. You will be responsible for the accurate identification, detailed documentation, and efficient tracking of software defects using industry-standard tools like Jira or Bugzilla. A key aspect of this position involves developing and maintaining effective automation scripts utilizing leading tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
You will work hand-in-hand with our development and product teams to gain a deep understanding of new features and their technical implementation. Your contributions will extend to our continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) workflows, playing a role in ensuring seamless and high-quality releases. Furthermore, you will actively participate in enhancing our QA processes, expanding test coverage, and evolving our automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (both manual and automated) based on detailed product requirements.
- Conduct thorough functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, UI/UX testing, and performance testing on web applications, mobile applications, and back-end systems.
- Accurately identify, document, and track software defects using established bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts utilizing industry-leading tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Collaborate effectively with developers and product teams to gain a strong understanding of features and their underlying technical implementation.
- Actively contribute to continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) workflows.
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of QA processes, expansion of test coverage, and enhancement of automation frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience in software testing or quality assurance (QA) roles.
- Solid foundational understanding of core testing principles and agile testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Hands-on experience with popular automated testing frameworks and relevant scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Proficient in the effective use of bug tracking tools and test management tools.
- Practical experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in testing APIs using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience utilizing performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Possession of ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications is considered a plus.
