You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and, importantly, end users, ensuring that all functionality is delivered precisely as expected and meets the highest standards of usability.
As a User Acceptance Tester, your key responsibilities will include a thorough review of business requirements, detailed user stories, and comprehensive functional specifications to design effective UAT test cases. You will meticulously plan, diligently prepare, and accurately execute UAT test scenarios and scripts, directly mirroring real-world user workflows. A critical aspect of your role involves the clear identification and precise documentation of any discrepancies observed between expected and actual outcomes. You will also be responsible for coordinating seamlessly with various stakeholders to efficiently schedule and manage UAT cycles.
Furthermore, you will facilitate the crucial UAT sign-off process, ensuring that every predefined acceptance criterion has been successfully met. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- 2 4 years of demonstrable experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) or a related quality assurance (QA) function.
- Strong foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing processes.
- Proven ability to accurately interpret business requirements and effectively translate them into practical test scenarios.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with commonly used bug tracking tools and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a business analyst or product owner-facing role is considered a significant plus.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Domain expertise in specific industries such as fintech, e-commerce, healthcare, etc., is an added advantage.
- Experience with basic SQL queries and database validation.
