Job Summary

Qualify new Procedure Qualification Record as per ASME Sec. IX, PD5500, EN 15614-1, IBR standards, Client specification etc.
To prepare WPS, PQR & weld plan as per the job requirement & get the approval of the documents from client / TPI.
To ensure Welder / Welding Operator performance qualification and its documentation and certification. Welder training by providing welding and material technical support and guidance.
Developing and supporting welding activities for Exotic Materials & Low alloy steel materials.
Carry out weld defect analysis and prepare CAPA.
Carry out welding consumables estimation as per drawing & specification and raise indent for the same. Maintain welding consumables inventory in store.
Prepare Technical Purchase Specification for all welding consumables.
Carry out incoming inspection of welding consumables as per code and TPS.
Selection of proper welding processes for new materials.
Responsible for Intergranular Corrosion Testing, Chemical Analysis, Microstructure examination of welding along with compilation of reports.
Calibration of all welding related instruments, which are used in plant.
Manage team of 2-4 in terms of grooming, motivation, review/ appraisal of performance, identify T&D needs & recommend for the same.
Have knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, OHSAS, EHS

Qualification :
DME / DFT / B.E. / M.E. Metallurgy / Mechanical/ Welding Tech.

Experience Required :

8 to 10 Years
