Position description:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Experience in testing web applications and mobile implementing single page architecture
• Exposure to automation testing framework such as Selenium, Cucumber, testNG and REST Assured
• Hands on experience on all phases of software test life cycle and Bug reporting/fixing tools
• Setting up test environment and test infrastructure
• Ensuring the entire stack is designed and build test automation framework

Required Knowledge:

BE/BTech/BS/MTech/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience

2 to 4 years experience in automation testing

Proficient in programming language such as Java/Python

Proven work experience in software development and quality assurance

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

Required Skills:

Exposure to Data pipelines and ETL testing

Exposure to complex automation framework such as protractor

Proficiency with Git

Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment

Good understanding of Database design and ability to write SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data

Appreciation for clean and well documented code
