JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24 7 uptime Azure / Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
2. Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python, shell scripting) and automation skills.
3. Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios Cacti, Ganglia, Splunk).
4. Problem Solving: Able to distil complex technical challenges to actionable and explainable decisions.
5. DB Skills: Basic DB administration experience (RDS, MongoDB, SQL), experience in setting up and managing Database instance on Public Cloud.
6. GitHub: Experienced in maintain and administering of GitHub
7. Accountable for proper backup and disaster recovery procedures.
8. Experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
9. Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills.
10. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.
11. Strong problem-solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.
12. Demonstrate excellent engineering & automation skills in the context of cloud-based global platform/product delivery using continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
13. Demonstrate the ability to rapidly learn new and emerging technologies with the ability to rapidly define engineering standards and produce automation code
14. Operational abilities including early life support and driving root cause analysis and remediation
15. Plan, architect and build Azure / AWS infrastructure for micro-services.
16. Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

a) Bachelor s Degree or equivalency (CS, CE or engineering discipline)
b) 3+ years overall IT industry experience
c) 1+ years in an engineering role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
d) 1+ years functional knowledge of programming scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL etc.
e) 1+ years CI/CD delivery using code management, configuration management and automation tools such as GitHub, VSTS, Ansible, DSC, Puppet, Ambari, Chef, Salt, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
f) Experience with any of the following: Azure, Azure Stack, Azure AD
g) Design and build infrastructure (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering (Optional).
h) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
