Job Summary

Your responsibilities Providing legal advice to Group companies in APA including but not limited to operational advice, advice to the legal boards, drafting and reviewing contracts, advice on claim management, court procedures, arbitrations, and dispute management as well as provision of local support and coordination for M&A transactions. Managing and controlling contractual risks e.g. adoption of group standards, development of regional policies, standards and legal documentation. Support corporate group database documentation on entities and group participations in the region (e.g. resolutions, registrations, representation of foreign quota holders) Coordinating work and documentation (e.g. resolutions, registrations, director appointments) with respective company secretaries in various countries, ensuring compliance with statutory formalities. Providing legal advice to the regional platform APA including its management. Monitoring and reporting legal risks e.g. claims & assessment Managing/coordinating external legal counsel, monitoring legal costs of the Group Function "Legal & Compliance" in the region. Key contact in the APA region for legal colleagues / bridging between Corporate, BS and local Group companies. Interactions with public officials, if necessary. Your profile Experience (Education) Completion of relevant tertiary legal qualifications: Preferably international educational experience and Masters Degree from another country than the tertiary legal qualification Experience (Work) Minimum of 12 years experience in a similar role preferably with Asia Pacific exposure, thereof min. 5 years inhouse experience in international industrial group Strong international scope and working experience abroad. Competencies Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities. Maturity and assertiveness (speak up culture). Experienced in working in a multi-dimensional and multi-national organisation High level of service and client orientation (positive, supporting and trusting attitudetowards colleagues, clients etc.) Reliable response to business needs/ close business relations and hands-on mentality. Proactive approach to new ways of working and change management Personal flexibility and self-motivation as well as ability to work in a team Economically focused and goal-oriented thinking and acting. Knowledge of the industry and willingness to enhance it / good understanding of economic and technical contexts. Strong intercultural competence (e.g. culture, rules and regulations) Experience in the areas of court litigation, legal negotiations, asset acquisition, transfer and transactions, divesture etc. Experience in advising on operational matters and in contract reviews International legal expertise (know about international legal customs) Profound knowledge in civil, commercial, company and corporate law, legal generalist. Skills: Excellent English skills in written and oral communication. Efficent MS office user
