Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

I. Lead product development process of all Sports Nutrition range (Proteins/BCAAs/WPI/WPC/RTD etc.) & plan including timely development of bench-top prototypes, stability study, sensory and scale up for commercialization.

II. Identify new market opportunities and develop new product concepts to address customer and market demand.

III. Develop & manage timelines, budgets, and product development activities.

IV. Identify & review new ingredients, products and technologies to determine scientific viability and applications.

V. Identify source and partners of raw material ingredients. Actively search products, vendors which will support the development pipeline.

VI. Utilize market research data and consumer behavior trends to support new product ideas.

VII. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as Procurement, Quality Assurance, Nutrition, Regulatory, Business development & Manufacturing.

VIII. Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

IX. To review Document:

b) MFR, BOM, SOP, Change-control & Deviation, Draft Text Matter & Artwork

c) Stability Study Protocol/ Reports

d) Process Validation Protocol & Reports

e) Observation report after three successful commercial batches

X. To discuss & help in resolving the formulation or process challenges during daily meeting for product development & monitor the development cycle of product.

XI. To identify achievements, failures & bottleneck on weekly basis for review.

XII. To review & help in preparing the monthly performance of the team based on the timelines committed & submission of the same.

XIII. Responsible for environment health and safety In organization as per company policy/ regulation.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 15+ years of experience in Nutra vertical (Sports Nutrition).Must be from Food Technology Background.

- Exposure to ERP/SAP

- Project management & data interpretation skills

- Ability to make & deliver process training sessions

- Knowledge of domestic and international markets

- Proficient with use of the Internet, MS outlook, MS office - including word, excel and power point

- Highly technical/scientific acumen and familiarity with Nutraceutical ingredient raw materials

- Knowledge of food science, process technology and good understanding of nutrition & Food regulations
