Job Summary
Role Overview: As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a liaison between employees and management, aligning business objectives with employee needs, and driving HR processes across the designated business unit. You will be responsible for assessing current and future business needs, championing employee concerns, and acting as a change agent to help drive business strategy. External Interfaces: Consultants Internal Interfaces: Regional Business Heads Regional Business Managers Finance Team Legal Team Other Corporate Functions Key Responsibilities: HR Business Partnering: Manpower Planning Liaise with the business to gather manpower requirements based on new capabilities and growth strategy. Present historical manpower data (attrition, lost talent cost, budgeted positions) to develop initial manpower estimates. Provide support in presenting manpower requirements to MDs and CEOs for final approval. Performance Measures: Timely collation and finalization of manpower plans Adherence to guidelines and accuracy in manpower data HR Business Partnering: Learning & Development (L&D), Career & Succession Planning Identify employees who have been stagnant in roles and encourage career movement in discussion with managers. Work with function heads to identify critical positions and participate in talent review conversations. Support the creation and refinement of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and collaborate with L&D for necessary training. Performance Measures: Identification and development of successor lists Effective job rotation and career development initiatives HR Business Partnering: Performance Management Conduct goal-setting sessions to align business scorecards and ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of goals. Ensure timely completion of goal setting, quarterly reviews, and year-end reviews. Participate in individual-level performance calibrations and promote alignment with performance guidelines. Performance Measures: Goal-setting and timely review completion Performance calibration and PIP management HR Business Partnering: Employee Relations Manage employee grievances and escalations according to guidelines, and carry out investigations into allegations (harassment, fraud, etc.). Oversee disciplinary actions in consultation with senior stakeholders. Drive employee engagement by analyzing scores and assisting function heads in action planning. Performance Measures: Timely investigations and disciplinary actions High-quality exit interviews and action recommendations Employee engagement improvements HR Business Partnering: Internal Consulting Collaborate with business on organizational design and structuring to align with business needs. Evaluate manpower and organizational alignment periodically, making necessary recommendations. Review and manage the sales incentive scheme and organizational development initiatives. Performance Measures: Effective organization design and incentive schemes Successful execution of OD initiatives HR Business Partnering: Recruitment & Selection Lead the selection process for advertised positions, ensuring interviews align with business requirements. Participate in salary negotiations in coordination with the C&B team and recruitment. Review documents and extend offers, ensuring compliance with guidelines. Conduct employee inductions to familiarize new hires with policies and their roles. Performance Measures: Quality of hires and timely recruitment Candidate experience and adherence to guidelines Key Skills and Competencies: Behavioral Skills: Business savvy and entrepreneurial drive Ability to nurture relationships and influence for impact Leadership and accountability Curiosity and passion for products and categories Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge: Applicable labor laws and regulations Employee relations and grievance management Industry best practices in HR and performance management Labor market trends and benchmarks Educational Qualifications: MBA in HR, preferably from a premier institution. Relevant Experience: 2-3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a retail/FMCG organization.
