Hadoop Administrator Job in Tomia

Job Summary: As System Engineer, you are responsible for supporting ,deploying, configuring and maintaining Hadoop applications and BI reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All duties will be performed under the review/guidance of the Manager.

• Deploying/maintaining Hadoop clusters, adding and removing nodes using cluster monitoring tools like Cloudera Manager
• Keeping a track of all the running hadoop jobs
• Implementing, managing and administering the overall Hadoop infrastructure
• Manage Subscriptions and Report Delivery Services from MicroStrategy
• Fix and troubleshoot reporting issues raised by the customers
• Analyze SQL queries generated by the reports for erroneous results

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of UNIX/LINUX OS
• Knowledge of cluster monitoring tools like Cloudera Manager
• Knowledge in BI reporting and trouble shoot of MSTR reports MSTR 2019 and above
• Good hold of shell scripting
• Knowledge in Hive, Oozie, Presto, Yarn and other Hadoop eco systems

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must have 4-5 years of extensive experience Hadoop/MSTR support and Operations with strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive the operation
• Willing to work in a 24x7 production mission critical environment, including weekends
• Experience with Hadoop CDH Hive/Presto/Oozie etc
• Experience in troubleshooting issues in MSTR reports and setup
• Experience in deploying Hadoop applications and configuration
• Experience in writing and understanding Oracle SQL/Hive hql queries
• Experience in any Unix shell script
• Experience in working in Linux platforms and AWS is added advantage
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

An individual must also have excellent communication in English both oral and written.
