Skills

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-traditional backgrounds. Typically, we find that people are successful in this role when they have:

  • 8+ years working with enterprise-level information technology showing progression through more technical roles
  • 2+ years experience working on the salesforce.com platform, specifically with salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick) experience
  • Able to translate business requirements into technical design specification
  • Strong functional knowledge of order management, QTC, configuration, pricing and quoting functionality
  • Deep understanding of sales business processes
  • Experience with commerce, configuration, output, SFDC integration, product catalog/price list integration

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead/facilitate design and modeling sessions with the client.
  • Work closely with business leaders, process owners to gather business requirements
  • Provide CPQ solutions alternatives to business and suggest solutions that have optimized and efficient ROI.
  • Translates CPQ business requirements to technical specification.
  • Understand, design, supervise, and create technical configurations using configuration product s tools, languages scripts based technologies (BMI, Java, BML, middleware).
  • Design, implement, and test leading-edge Quote and Product Configuration integrations with salesforce.com.
  • Create robust large-scale production applications.
  • Create prototypes quickly and re-architect them for production readiness.
  • Lead the creation of project deliverables, spanning from process to system design elements with an emphasis on functional and technical design.
  • If needed, coordinate developer tasks on large projects; lead design and code reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Provides guidance on all phases of software development lifecycle and the impact of CPQ.
  • Support testing and root cause analysis, and provides lessons learned.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Function as CPQ subject matter expert during presales and delivery of consulting engagement
