Requirements

As a Devops DB Engineer - Here is what you will bring:

Must Have: DevOps / Cloud

• 4-6 years Strong DevOps with AWS RDS / Cloud database setup, config, sizing, automation and disaster recovery.
  
• Should have very good analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in AWS RDS, S3, EC2
• Experience with distributed deployment of scripts on multiple nodes
  
• Proficient with IAC (Infrastructure as Code) - AWS Cloudformation OR Terraform

• Knowledge in any one scripting language like BASH jobs, Kron jobs, Powershell, Ansible.
• Knowledge and experience with AWS DMS (Data Migration Service)
• Must have experience with setting up DR and replication strategies
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Good communication and documentation skills

Must Have: DataBase

• Proficient in SQL, DB scripting and automation - Oracle OR MariaDB OR MySQL
• Should be hands-on in writing SQL queries
• Proficient at migrating/promoting DB changes from Dev to QA to Prod
• Automation of DB scripts, filtering data from different tables and migrating that to another DB
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in Oracle OR MariaDB OR MySQL
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and integration of Git in SQL file management
• Knowledge of data index management, statistics

Good to have

• Knowledge of Database architecture, capacity sizing, database internals like tablespace, storage management
• Proficient in automation of DB release using tools like Liquibase
• Knowledge of any ETL tool for Data transformation and migration
