Job Summary Job Description:

1. Design, develop & validate RT-PCR based Molecular assays for Oncology and Infectious Diseases parameters.
2. Applies extensive scientific knowledge with broad laboratory skills to execute complex bench experiments using a variety of molecular biology, cell biology, biochemical, and general laboratory techniques as directed.
3. Plans and executes new research projects. This includes researching the subject, defining an experimental plan, preparing protocols, performing statistical analysis and interpretation of data and results, and report generation.
4. Participates in technical decisions affecting research and development issues. Identifies problems, investigates alternatives, and recommends possible courses of action.
5. Operates within a quality management system and collaborates with quality assurance and regulatory team to improve laboratory processes, optimize methods, and develop quality analytics.
6. Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the company by implementing innovative and creative ideas to solve problems or improve on current methods used in R&D.
7. Maintains accurate and detailed records of experimental work.
8. Prepares technical reports for internal use; creates protocols or manuals for public display or distribution.
9. Presents experimental results, data analysis or prior art evaluations at group meetings as directed.
10. Participates in scientific collaborations for new technology/product development.

Desired Profile:
1. Ph.D. or equivalent professional degree in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, biotechnology, or closely related disciplines, with research and/or Ph.D. closely aligned with proposed work
2. Knowledge of state-of-the art technologies for the detection, quantification, and analysis of viral and bacterial disease vectors, including polymerase chain reaction methodologies, related molecular diagnostic techniques, bioinformatics, laboratory information management systems
3. Minimum three years of extensive experience in Molecular techniques and hands on experience on Real time PCR, NGS and Sanger sequencing
4. Experience in aseptic technique, microbial systems, microbial culturing, standard molecular biology techniques, cloning and sequence analysis 5. Excellent communication skills, not only for scientific audiences but also with government agencies and the general public
