About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Horticulturist to join our team and ensure the care and quality of our plants. This role involves overseeing plant health, propagation, pest control, and collaboration with various departments to maintain the highest standards in plant care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of plants to ensure their health and vitality.
• Implement and manage a comprehensive plant care program.
• Monitor and manage pest control measures, ensuring a healthy environment for all plants.
• Analyze soil conditions and recommend appropriate amendments to enhance plant growth.
• Ensure proper drainage and irrigation systems are in place and functioning efficiently.
• Propagate plants using various methods such as seeding, cutting, and grafting.
• Maintain accurate records of propagation activities.
• Coordinate the availability of plants for landscaping and other projects.
• Collaborate closely with departments such as Services, Maintenance, Retail, and Operations.
• Provide horticultural expertise and advice to internal teams as needed.
• Serve as a resource for all horticultural-related queries within the organization.
• Source and procure necessary materials within budgetary constraints.
• Monitor expenses and provide regular updates to management on costs and plant needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Horticulturist.
• Strong knowledge of indoor and ornamental plants.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in computer applications related to horticulture.
