Job Summary Job Description - Operator STP / ETP

Designation: Operator

Qualification: 10th or 12th Pass.

  • Responsible to operate, supervise monitor the day to day operation of ETP/STP
  • Operations of various pumps, blowers, and other equipment s in most diligent manner
  • Responsible to Store collect effluent generated from various sources and plan for treatment
  • for Trouble shooting bottlenecking of STPs
  • Responsible to conduct routine sampling and analysis of influent effluent /Sewage samples either in-house or from outside for efficient treatment
  • Operator shall take necessary action by shutting off the equipment and informing the same to your (Client) maintenance department
  • Should operate & monitor the ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) & STP(Sewage Treatment Plant)
  • Keep the ETP/STP area & Premises clean
  • Clean the water in small tanks using a strainer
  • Operate pumps, and check if it s functioning properly ( check for air blockage, choke in pipeline, oil in the pumps every 15 days), Check the level of water in the tanks, air blower( diffuser pipeline to be check if the air is blowing correctly), PH test of in-let & out-let water
  • prepare monthly status report on ETP/STP. Covering plant performance, etc.
  • To check & record the flow of Effluent/Sewage per day if required flow meter
  • To prepare chemical solutions whenever required
  • Responsible to maintain daily log books, device, waste disposal observation report etc. in the shift
  • Responsible to maintain all equipment in the ETP/STP in healthy condition by ensuring that preventive maintenance schedule is followed and done
  • Conduct ETP/STP operation safely without any accident
  • Responsible to Ensure Housekeeping of the operation area
  • Ensure that the ETP operation runs within the allocated budget cost
  • To inspect equipment on a regular basis
  • Collect and test water and sewage samples
  • Record meter and gauge readings
  • To keep records of chemicals, etc. and submit the same in between 5th 10th of month to us. However, daily report of the findings / activity will be submitted to us on daily basis
