Job Summary

BUSINESS CONTEXT: As part of Enterprise Support, IT Innovation is a critical component underpinning Unilever s ability to win in the market and achieve the goals of Compass. It does this by delivering excellent IT services globally so that Unilever can better serve customers, translate its global scale into local cost competitiveness and create maximum agility. MAIN JOB PURPOSES: The R&D IT platform within Unilever Enterprise Platforms has 60+ Business Services enabling Unilever R&D s backbone functions, around Experimentation, Simulation, Formulation, Packaging, Regulatory and Safety Assessment. These functions within R&D IT are managed under 4 vertical pillars Capture, Create, Simulate and Exploit based on the backbone capabilities delivered. Majority of these applications are hosted on Cloud. These applications are built on various technologies across SAP, .NET, JAVA, SQL, and many others. Service Operations is a horizontal pillar in the platform responsible for Application Maintenance, Landscape Management and Service Delivery covering all the vertical pillars. SCOPE OF THE ROLE Perform KEC (Keeping the Environment Current) for all IaaS and PaaS cloud components on Azure and GCP Setup monitoring and observability capabilities to enhance the system resilience and performance. Provide required Infrastructure & Technology support for Innovations. Handle audits and Cyber security related activities Responsible for Software renewals, License Costs & Infra Costs management Supporting R&D Applications in BAU for Incidents, Problems and Service Requests related to IT infrastructure. Support IT Service Delivery objectives by ensuring governance around Change & Release Management, adherence to IT KPIs, Service Continuity, Information Security Compliance Ensure smooth Transition of Services from Programs to Run KEY DELIVERABLES On time completion of KEC upgrades within the allocated budget Work with functional leads / teams to ensure resilience via issue resolutions, upgrades, compliance, and deliver service improvements. Periodic review of the Cyber security dashboard scores Talent Management Creating a High Performing team, enabling digital culture and mindset within teams, building talent, and ensuring retention of domain knowledge in UniOps ESSENTIAL SKILLS Experience in managing large scale End to End Support Operations across technology and product stacks Strong IT Service Management concepts to deliver IT as a Service Good Working knowledge of IT systems landscapes Ability to lead and manage teams in a cross functional structure and deliver through them Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong & trustworthy relationships with people from across different functions Ability to work with Finance Business Partners and manage budgets < 1M to 3M annually> Experience of managing external service providers delivering projects and support DESIRABLE SKILLS Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform experience Business partnering experience.
