OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF JOB

In view of fast changing market driven challenges, Unitile is constantly improving their manufacturing processes & support functions. In current & coming times, there are going to be many initiatives driven by Automation, Machine Learning & Data Analytics.

Automation Systems designer will be responsible for all initiatives related to Automation including efficient maintenance, of existing installations, all green field & brown field projects as per corporate set norms on cost, time & functional excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evolve an efficient maintenance policy related to all instrumentation, related power circuits & control systems.
• Assist the manufacturing team in adoption of new tools, technologies & skills while implementing all modernization initiatives.
• Keep maintenance costs within the set targets while improving performance of all automation & control systems on YOY basis as per agreed KPIs.
• Improve Energy Conservation, Safety & , reduce Environmental pollution by deploying appropriate technologies.
• Selection & training of craftsmen as per plant needs. Develop skills on continuous basis to avoid obsolescence.
• Standardization of all control systems as per defined strategy to reduce costs .
• Taking the Digitalization process , already underway, to next level for driving quantifiable benefits.
• Scout all emerging technology driven initiatives on regular basis & adopt /upgrade inhouse systems in a planned way.
• Upgrade skills as per need & train manpower accordingly on regular basis.
• Development / Collaborate with new vendors for developing solutions which arte customized as per in-house innovative design/concepts.
• Preparation of Capital Expense Budget & engage with external agencies for detailed engineering and project implementation as per business guidelines.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor s Degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical with Mechatronics preferred
• 7+ years plant operations experience
• Familiarity with design & project management tools/softwares.
• Able to lead root cause analysis investigations
• Passion for training & mentoring.
• Aptitude for perfection.
