Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
2. Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
3. Design creative prototypes according to specifications
4. Write high quality & optimized source code to program complete applications within deadlines
5. Perform unit and integration testing before launch
6. Conduct functional and nonfunctional testing
7. Troubleshoot and debug applications
8. Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
9. Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

Job Requirements:

1. Proven experience as application developer
2. Experience in designing and building applications
3. Ability to program in at least one programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE) etc.
4. In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
5. Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
6. A team player with excellent communication skills
7. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
8. Great attention to detail and time-management skills BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated
9. Certified application developer is a plus
10. Analytical Skills: Application developers must be able to recognize the needs of customers, and create new applications that answer those needs.
11. Communication: Application developers must be able to clearly communicate their ideas to coders, teammates and management.
12. Creativity: Creativity is needed to help invent innovative ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applications.
13. Customer-Service: If dealing directly with clients and customers, application developers would need good customer service skills to answer questions and fix issues.
14. Attention to Detail: Applications have many parts and all must work together for the application to function.
15. Problem-Solving: As issues come up, application developers need to be able to make decisions that move the project forward.
16. Teamwork: As part of a large team of developers, coders and more, application developers need to work well with others.
17. Technical Skills: Application developers must be adept in computer languages and have good technical knowhow.
