Job Description: The SW Principal Engineer will work on Software validation and problem analysis for automotive driving assistance systems. Common tasks will include Reviewing test specifications and use cases for SW requirements. Ensures that software failures are detected during the Software test activities. Leads and coordinates the Software test activities. Review on validation test plans, timing, and reports. The candidate would be strong in CAN Bus, CAPL, SW and functional testing. Responsibilities: Ensures feasibility of the Software testing activities Preparation of SW Test Plan Strategy Review testing entry and exit criteria Test Reporting Define / Develop simulations needed with test benches and debugging tools in testing environment Prepare and support technical review meetings with OEM customers for system-level engineering issues. Continuously identifies areas for improvement, define measures and ensure implementation in his/her area of responsibility Major Skills Experience required: Educational Qualification:- B.E( Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering) Working Experience: Must Have worked on Automotive ECU System Testing Knowledge of Automotive ECU bench Testing (HIL) Should have good experience Diagnostics, CAPL. & strong testing techniques Basic knowledge in C Program, Microcontrollers, Electronics Circuit, Software Development methodology & Configuration Management. Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE ), regarding verification and validation process areas Excellent knowledge about Testing Techniques, Test Strategies and Test Planning Certificate in Software testing Advanced Level ISTQB - Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst is a plus Certificate in Software testing Advanced Level ISTQB - Test Manager is a plus Knowledge of Java & Python is a plus. Knowledge in Vector vTest studio, IPG CarMaker & ECU Test is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication/reporting skills Professional Experience: From 8 to 14 years of relevant experience Preference will be given to the candidates from ADAS domain.
