Job Summary: As a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) you will work closely with engineering and product leaders to plan and execute software programs to deliver high quality, scalable products to market with the most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will mitigate risks and communicate to a broad stakeholder audience. You will also anticipate risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Works closely with designers, engineers, testers, and project managers to drive practical solutions to complex business problems. Responsibilities: As a project manager, you are responsible for performing the following tasks: Takes a leadership posture with accountability for program technical feasibility and estimation accuracy. Exercises Domain & technical expertise to interface and work closely with product management, architecture and engineering leaders to ensure a tactical roadmap is in place and funded based on product objectives. Accountable for simplifying technical and dependency complexity to reduce delivery risk. Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution. Works closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach; Analyze/research hardware/cloud, software technology and deployment/delivery options, presenting cost/benefit recommendations. Works with engineering and product leadership to define quarterly objectives and assignments for the product teams. Work with all stakeholders to assign teams, define milestones, develop schedules, and ensure timely completion of deliverables by meeting milestones within established scope, schedule and budget constraints. Plan for risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Translates product roadmap/backlog scope into clearly defined team success criteria, instills best practices for software development, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules. Work with all stakeholders to assign teams, define milestones, develop schedules, and ensure timely completion of deliverables by meeting milestones within established scope, schedule and budget constraints. Builds capacity models and estimation frameworks that account for discovery and technical uncertainty. Plans and manages the program timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, facilitating regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges. Mitigate risks and communicate to a broad stakeholder audience. Works closely with designers, engineers, testers and project managers to drive practical solutions to complex business problems. Determines process improvement activities and helps drive them to fruition. The must have requirements are: Bachelor s degree in engineering Minimum 4 years of experience in Program management in Top product-based companies. Demonstrated Project Management skills with excellent people management and leadership skills. Experience in designing solutions in areas such as insurance, banking, and healthcare services. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality and customer satisfaction. Ability to explain highly technical or complex issues to a non-technical audience. Self-motivated and able to handle multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks independently. Ability to resolve problems and drive teams towards faster and smoother project delivery. Self-driven, ability to work independently to develop and execute strategies with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions. Excellent communication, motivational, interpersonal skills, and excellent negotiation skills Desired Skill Set: Candidates having these extra skills on their resumes have an added advantage. Some of them are as follows: Programming background is preferably Java or .NET, etc. Expertise in the insurance domain is a plus.
