Job Summary

Description: Responsibilities Beyond operational duties, the role is expected to demonstrate strong leadership to continuously bring enhancement in our processes through innovation and provide support to our business partners from time to time. Lead the team that manages the close process - Preparation, documentation for journal entries, financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. Review / approve manual journal entries & balance sheet reconciliations performed by team members as per SOX requirements - ensure SOX controls performance / compliance Accounting for US GAAP Ability to imbibe SOX compliance as part of DNA and ensure no deficiencies in the work performed. Quickly able to learn the Salesforce way of managing SOX compliance. Ownership of ME close as per agreed timelines / close calendar Responsible to manage / collaborate statutory / internal / SOX and bring the audit to closure within statutory / agreed timelines. Liaise with auditor / internal stakeholders closely to track the audit progress and bring any open issue to closure effectively. Partner with other Finance functions and collaborate with them from time to time to ensure alignment. Responsible for training, developing, coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to team members. Technology savvy to ensure strong support to Controllership Org. to automate and innovate continuously. Monitor compliance with Corporate Accounting instructions and applicable financial policies Ability to quickly understand new processes identified and ready to work on such processes. Ability to work independently with the process owners to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and any changes communicated Creating / maintenance of process documentation. Required Skills/Experience 12+ years of relevant professional experience with main focus on accounting operation/Shared Service Centre in a multinational dynamic environment and ability to deliver results. Accounting, analyzing information, attention to details, deadline oriented, thoroughness in the deliverables, spirit to work as a team with excellent problem solving skills. Degree in Accountancy. Qualified CA or Semi-qualified CA or equivalent desirable. Deep understanding in US SOX Compliance requirements with practical experiences. Strong domain expertise - knowledge of general accounting processes cash operations, leases, fixed assets, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations etc. Understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn quickly not just ERP but also other tools which we use as part of day to day work. Exposure to systems like Lease Accelerator, Workday, Blackline, Tableau Reporting, Hyperion etc. is desirable. Passion in process improvement and automation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to engage peers, team members and stakeholders. Willing to work in a challenging environment. Strong ability to respond quickly to various requests. Must be a self-starter - ability to self-motivate, adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment. Leadership skills, including emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage a broad range of personalities and skill sets to work towards a common goal.
