Area Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Role Specifications
Assist with managing the Moulding Tool development process from the concept phase to the post-launch phase.
Leading teams with cross-functional representatives from all departments, PTDB Study and Lesson Learned Implementation
Participating in obtaining and analysing Voice of the customer (VOC) to define platform level new product Moulding Tools
development initiatives.
New Project Quality Book preparation for all Moulding parts, Defects Analysis, and sign off with PD, QA and Customer
Participate in Technical Design Reviews with internal personnel and CFT
Review Specifications for New Injection Moulding Tools - Thermoplastic, Thermoset, 2K / 3K Moulding, etc.
Injection Moulding Processes Knowledge - Thermoplastic, Thermoset, 2K / 3K Moulding, etc.
Knowledge Process - Tool Setting, Troubleshooting, Process parameter establishmentetc.
Hands on experience with Multicolour mould setting, 2K, 3K, for engineering Plastic material
Mould Flow Analysis Knowledge
Lead and actively participate in Moulding Tool Acceptance Trials at Supplier and on site and ensure all requirements are met.
Prepare project status reports and issue on a routine basis and present to management.
Validation of Tool Trials and Preparation of Trial Reports, Tool Buy Off and Technical documentation.
Responsible for Launch Readiness, R@R for Moulding tools Installation and Commissioning in House
Co-ordination with CFT for Tool Trials and Moulding Process Set up.
Moulding Machine Selection and Layout finalization
Material Flow management till post process
Moulded parts Packaging finalization with packaging engineer
Lesson Learned - Implementation
Tools Hand over to Production, responsible for SOP+90
Ensure that all key projects measurable are met for Moulding Process (scrap rate, TT, Cycle Time)
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
Familiar with Engineering Plastic materials - PP, PC, PMMA, ABS, PC+ABS, PBT, Nylon etc and Thermoset - BMC material. Educational Qualification: BE / B.
