Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITES: Thoroughly analyze and review the SRD (System Requirements Document).
Primary responsible to create the system test-specification document and test-plan according the product-, customer-, quality- and legal-requirements.
Communicate with an international and interdisciplinary engineering and project team to review and understand the project and product requirements.
Develop and program automated test systems for software validation testing
Develop and program automated test systems for hardware validation testing (hardware in the loop and long term environmental testing)
Design and build setups for load and vehicle simulation and measurements.
Meet the project timing and delivery milestones
Support the software development with regression testing during the software development phase.
Perform SW unit testing with appropriate tools
Meet the SW quality requirements and follow the V-Process
Contribute in SW release readiness meetings prior customer releases
Support product benchmarks
Join code reviews
Execute static code checks and generate code complexity metrics
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S): Bachelor of Engineering /Master degree - in electronics engineering with a focus on embedded software development or several years of appropriate work experience
?EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S): Min. 3 years of professional experience as SW developer for embedded systems, ideally in the automotive industry
Basic knowledge of microcontroller systems and electronic
Good programming skills (C preferred)
Good understanding of electronic systems and circuits
Good English communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft office
Professional experience in the automotive business and / or as validation engineer
Knowledge of vehicle networks like CAN and LIN
Experience with following Tools:
Vector CANoe / CANdela / CANalyzer
LabView
IBM Rational Team Center (RTC)
IBM DOORS
Matlab / Simulink
Basic understanding of mechatronic actuators (Stepper-Motors, DC-Motors)
Experience in the automotive business
Driving licence
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The lighting controls department is responsible for the software development, testing and project handling of exterior lighting electronic control modules. These modules control enhanced light functions like actuators, LEDs and other light sources in headlamps and rear lamps for passenger cars.
