Job Summary
RESPONSIBILITES: Provide inputs for defining specifications, including safety interlocks, for machineries/equipments and recommend usage of specific spares.
Identification of machine/equipment suppliers.
Along with Mfg Engg , select, procure, erect and commission new machines.
Responsible for development of Low Cost Automations & Special Purpose Machines.
Interacts with local and international machine suppliers for procurement of machinery/equipment, spare and/or maintenance related issues.
Interacts with tool rooms for localization of perishable tooling.
Participate in budget preparation for maintenance activities.
Accountable for achieving maintenance metrics target as set in the management objective
o MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
o MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)
Responsible for procurement and management of spares for the respective area of responsibility.
Responsible for meeting productivity and cost save targets.
Responsible for breakdown maintenance of machinery/equipment and to ensure repair in case of breakdown.
Doing, ensuring and supporting Preventive and Prediction maintenance of machinery /equipment.
Upgrade Software and Technology of machines.
Handling machine modifications to implement improvements in safety of operating personnel, quality of manufactured parts, productivity/cycle time and uptime of machinery/equipment.
Responsible for general upkeep of the plant.
Member of one or more CFTs formed like,
o TS 16949
o ISO 14000
o Cost reduction
o Safety & Health
Ensure implementation of and compliance to systems like TS16949, 100PPM and ISO 14000 in their respective areas.
Responsible for handling 10 to 15 technicians (Diploma Holders).
OSHAS Certification: Implementation & Compliance to Safety & Loss Control Policy
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S): Diploma/BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering ?EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S): 14-16 years
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
